In my Graphic Design for Accessibility class, we were assigned to create 10 different tactile textures. These textures were 3D modeled in Tinkercad and then 3D printed as a 1 in x 1 in tile. This was my first time 3D printing and it was so cool! We then had our friends/classmates feel the tiles without looking at them, which they would then draw what they thought it looked like and see if it was an accurate read.
These tiles are in preparation to understand what textures are the easiest to identify as we will be using textures on an upcoming tactile map project that is useful for people who are visually impaired!
